Our History
With a rich history spanning 150 years, George Schmitt & Co. has long been at the forefront of engineered printing solutions. In 1874, a young and ambitious German immigrant, George Schmitt, laid the foundation for what would become a groundbreaking company in the printing industry. Starting as a stone lithographer in Brooklyn, New York, Schmitt’s unsurpassed printing quality combined with artistic imagination and technical precision, quickly earned them their first printing award at the 1892 Chicago Fair.
